We provide our
customers with a range of medical gases that
contribute to:
-
Faster
recovery of patients.
-
Better quality
of life for homecare patients.
-
Advancement of
medical technology.
Our
medical gases are subject to the same
manufacturing and handling requirements as
medical drugs so that users and patients are
guaranteed quality and safety.
Medical oxygen
Oxygen is well-known as the only element that
supports respiration, and medicine could not be
practiced without the support that oxygen
provides.
Medical oxygen can be used to provide a basis
for virtually all modern anaesthetic techniques
and restore tissue oxygen tension by improving
oxygen availability in a wide range of
conditions. It is also used widely to aid in
resuscitation and provide life support in
artificial ventilation.
Nitrous oxide
Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is predominately
used as a background anaesthetic and is
supplemented with either a potent volatile agent
or an intravenous anaesthetic. When used in this
way, it allows a much lower dosage of the other
anaesthetic agents and faster induction times.
Heliox
Heliox is the common name for a mixture of
helium and oxygen. ROC’s Heliox is offered in a
mixture of 79% helium and 21% oxygen. Helium is
one of the lightest chemical elements and Heliox
mixtures are typically three times less dense
than air making Heliox easier to breathe.
Entonox
Entonox is a 50:50 mix of nitrous oxide and
oxygen and imparts the benefits of oxygen with
the pain relief of the nitrous oxide without
producing unconsciousness. Entonox is a very
potent analgesic with a very rapid onset of
action and rapid elimination from the body.
Medical air
Medical air is a mixture of approximately 21%
oxygen, 78% nitrogen and other inert gases.
Medical carbon dioxide
Carbon dioxide is an essential constituent of
tissue fluids. Carbon dioxide is needed to
supplement various anaesthetic and oxygenation
mixtures under special circumstances such as
cardiac by-pass and the management of renal
dialysis. |
